Interactive Creative Project Manager
Department Name: Creative Services
Primary Responsibilities (General description of job):
• Provide leadership and management of client and corporate web/interactive
communications projects from a creative direction and project management level.
Key Accountabilities (Specific functions as relate to job):
• Secures, manages and maintains relationships with key outside suppliers
such as graphic designers, web designers, fine artists, printers, copywriters,
etc
• Provides creative direction on web/interactive communications projects
• Negotiates and provides competitive pricing for services to support
projects
• Gross Profit responsibility for project budgets
• Follows delivery processes that ensure proper departmental/interdepartmental
communication, updates, etc. (i.e., deliver on-time, error free and keep internal
stakeholders informed)
• Supports internal departments and product lines (at cost or for no fee)
as directed by organization (objective is 75% of time spent in pursuit of or
in delivery of Creative Services business)
• Learning Solutions – sells creative time (variety of positions)
at internal transfer rates to LS with the ultimate goal of improving the production
value
• Sales/Presentations – sells creative time at internal transfer
rates to sales with the objective of improving the production value of our entire
proposal and securing the business for MotivAction
• Award Solutions – provides project management time for the printed
version of our Premier Collection at no charge. This includes coordination with
outside graphic designers and printers on behalf of MotivAction.
• Attends regular/recurring staff meeting(s) where process, training,
workload, etc. information is shared and discussed
• Attends and contributes at project meetings as a creative services representative.
• Follows corporate policies and processes – ensures role is in
alignment with the big picture
• Assists department in bringing new ideas forward for AEs on a regular
basis (quarterly at minimum)
Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
• Generalist-type knowledge of
creative process, creative components for all types of media,
ability to speak the language, etc.
• Evidence of creative concept development skills
• Ability to multi-task and ensure high productivity of
staff members
• Writing and speaking skills – ability to “sell”
a creative concept in writing or by presenting
• Understanding of basic business math concepts (mark,
gross margin, P&L, etc.)
• Ability to provide creative direction and coordinate
outside suppliers on multiple projects
• Strong understanding of design principles (with at least
moderate skills in Web design practices)
• Educational background in graphic design , visual communications
or similar
