Memorium: Denny O'Rourke(1940-2006)
Dennis G. "Denny" O'Rourke died in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 20, 2006. Denny, as he was known, was the owner of Cine Sound 2 for over thirty years. It was his second home. It wasn't a job for him, but a very enjoyable full-time hobby. Post production audio was his life's work. He was a problem solver, a skilled technician, a mentor, a friend, a jokester, a lover of life and people. He was always there to lend a helping hand--"If a problem couldn't be solved, then call Denny." Denny will be missed by all of those who knew him and were touched by his heart.
Internment was at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Lake Linden, Michigan, on August 26. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society or Make-A-Wish Foundation. There is an electronic guest book on the Star Tribune’s obituary website available to express your thoughts. The family has taken great comfort in the messages from many clients and friends. Also, there will be a gathering at Cine Sound to Celebrate the Life of Dennis O’Rourke on September 16th. We welcome all to attend and share stories of the many joys and adventures of his life.
